The little potholder that I purchased at the flea market (see Mother’s Day – Our official “kick-off”) was so sweet that I had to crochet one just like it.  After many failed attempts to copy this little gem (it looked easy!), I gave up and started my search.  Although the pattern I found was not exactly the same, it qualified as “close enough”.

Ravelry patterns led me to the Crazy Cloth Dishcloth.  I used #10 crochet cotton, made two identical potholders and then crocheted them together for extra thickness.  It measures approximately 5″ x 5″.

Note:  These potholders work surprisingly well!  However… since I’ve yet to test them on a steaming tray of lasagne or a 25-lb. turkey, I’m not quite ready to ditch the Ove Glove.
