Without a doubt, this is one of the best-tasting cookies ever!  Crispy on the outside; tender and soft on the inside.  Just perfect.

This cookie happens to be an all-time favorite of little a, who will be visiting on Friday to attend a family party.  While she is here, my favorite little geek will help solve some computer issues which have been plaguing me lately.  (really…she can do most anything!)

The recipe comes from Great Cookies: Secrets to Sensational Sweets
by Carole Walter.  Although I find her recipes to be a bit fussier than most, I do love this book.   The cookies I’ve tried have been well-worth the little extra effort.  There are many recipes to choose from, lots of inspiring photos, and pages of “secret” tips which can help you make great cookies.

I love this recipe, too…

“Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate” biscotti.  The original recipe calls for walnuts, but I substitute Nestle’s white chips.  Definitely a “keeper”.

I sure hope that little a can fix my computer woes.  I would hate to think that I might need one of those “magical and revolutionary” new Apple iPads.  “A design that is thin, light and brilliant”.  Oh, no…that would be just dreadful.
