UNdecorating after the holidays leaves me blue…so, before I begin dismantling, I thought I’d share a few of this year’s favorite things:

Fresh tree for the living room (it smelled terrifc…for about 3 days).

A pink tree for the dining room…decorated with Swarovski crystal snowflake ornaments!

The kitchen tree makes me smile:

I’m thinking it’s time for new stockings.Β  I’ll save these old corduroy stockings that I stitched up in the 90’s, but I think I’ll plan a new look for 2013.Β  (It’s easy to say that while I still have 12 months to make it happen.)

The wreath above the fireplace is from an old Vogue pattern.Β  It is made of felt, hand-stitched leaves that are arranged and sewn onto a felt-covered cardboard circle:

Some folks hang mistletoe…I hang this:

A disco kissing ball (which nobody loves but me)!

And then, there were the cookies:

My favorite cookie this year was totally inspired by my sugar-cookie-hero, Callye, at sweetsugarbelle:

The storage boxes await, and I’ll be taking it all down soon, but, until then, I’ll enjoy these last few days of colored lights and warm Christmas cheer.

Hope your day was merry!

I never intended to have more than one tree but, before I knew it, there was another…and another. My kids are grown-and-gone, yet I do this anyway πŸ˜‰

Hope you have a great new year,
